An American man has refused to go to jail hungry, pulling over in the middle of a car chase to get an In-N-Out Burger.
The police chase in Phoenix, Arizona took a bizarre turn when the driver pulled into the fast food outlet, with television choppers hovering above and authorities in hot pursuit.
Suspect Joshua Adkins, 35, had warrants out for his arrest and failed to stop when police tried to pull him over on Wednesday night local time, 12News reports.
His attempt to run from the police saw him pull his truck up to the drive-through window and casually order some food - but strangely, no police were in the area at the time.
After ordering his sneaky snack, Adkins continued driving for several minutes before he ditched his truck and proceeded to run into a backyard, where he eventually surrendered to police.
He was booked on suspicion of unlawful flight from law enforcement, aggravated assault-domestic violence and unlawful imprisonment.
