Police have suspended the search for a fisherman missing off the Western Australian coast for nearly two weeks.

The 8.2 metre cabin cruiser belonging to Jeffrey Doyle, 61, was discovered by two teenage boys on a beach between Lancelin and Cervantes yesterday morning.

"We found life jackets everywhere, the EPIRB [emergency beacon] wasn't set off," Jordan Ganfield told ABC News.

An extensive search around the vessel, named “Obsession II”, found no sign of Mr Doyle who was last seen leaving Bunbury Yacht Club on October 17.

Authorities said the boat had also been forensically examined but there were no “suspicious circumstances identified”.
