A severe thunderstorm warning for damaging winds and large hailstones has been issued for parts of southeast Queensland.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts severe thunderstorms will soon hit Ipswich, Esk and the area northwest of Esk.
Large hailstones have already hit the suburb of Moggill, west of Brisbane's CBD.

A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for parts of the Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast districts.
