Created by online actor and producer Simone Shepherd, the video takes a 360-degree angle view of frozen scenes about the Black Lives Matter movement as the sound of a pulsing heart beats in the background.
Police tapes and Malcolm X's iconic 1964 speech, in which he uttered the phrase "we want justice by any means necessary," can also be heard.
The video ends with the background heartbeat flat-lining.
Among the powerful vignettes included are: the fatal killings of Philando Castile, Sandra Bland and Alton Sterling; a hooded Trayvon Martin holding a packet of Skittles; Colin Kaepernick on bended knee during the national anthem; and Black Lives Matter protesters with raised fists.
Twitter users were quick to applaud the way Ms Shepherd had galvanized a social media trend to send a powerful message.
