Queensland emergency crews are working to extinguish two house fires in Townsville, and stop it from spreading to nearby properties.
One home has reportedly been completely destroyed in the blazes on Vincent Street and another one is partially damaged.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services posted to Facebook, urging residents and motorists to avoid the area.

Residents have also been advised to close windows and doors and keep medications close by if they suffer from a respiratory condition.
Townsville Storms posted on Facebook, saying a loud explosion occurred near a house fire off Fulham Road.

Paramedics were reportedly treating two people on scene.
A gas examiner was also said to be on scene.
