A man has died after he was found with a stab wound to his neck in a remote part of the Northern Territory.
Police are travelling to the scene where the man, believed to be a French tourist, was found - an area 30 kilometres from Aileron.
Aileron is a small outpost 100 kilometres north of Alice Springs.
Police said they were notified of the death just before 5.30pm ACST.
“It is believed a male has suffered a stab wound to his neck,” Detective Superintendent Travis Wurst said in a statement.
“St Johns attended, however he passed away at the scene.
“A crime scene has been declared with Southern Crime investigators on route,” Det. Supt Wurst added.
