An all-women skydiving team has broken a world record with a spectacular group dive above the Arizona desert.

The team of 65 women from 18 countries met at SkyDive Arizona for the dive last Sunday, Seeker reported.

Video captured by RedBull shows the breathtaking stunt taking place 6km above the ground.

The women braved temperatures of -25 degrees to hurtle head-first into the air from a plane, and then linked hands to form a flower shape.

Their attempt broke the  world record for the “largest sequential freefall formation” by women.

Red Bull Air Force member Amy Chmedlecki said the jump had required two years of training and was “hard work”.

"We had to work really hard for this," she said.

"You could just feel this buzz, an electric energy."
