A NSW man has been charged with child grooming following an online police sting.
Strike force officers last month began communicating with the man from Macksville, in northern NSW, who believed he was speaking to a 14-year-old girl, police will allege.
The 64-year-old man allegedly made numerous sexually explicit comments and requested to meet up for sex before he was arrested in Parramatta on Wednesday afternoon.
After being charged with using a carriage service to procure a person under 16 for sexual activity, he was refused bail and is scheduled to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
