Footy Show host and former Wests Tigers and Sharks player Beau Ryan has rushed to the side of a sick fan, in a bid to boost her spirits while she’s fighting cancer.
An “urgent request” was posted to Facebook from Jillaroo and women’s sevens star Mahalia Murphy earlier this evening to have Ryan pay a visit to her friend.

“URGENT REQUEST!!! Any assistance to boost my friend up? She is currently in Prince of Wales hospital and has roughly 4hours to live as she’s fighting cancer. She wants Greg Inglis or Beau Ryan to come see her. If everyone can share this or get in contact for me this would be much appreciated,” Murphy wrote.
Less than an hour later Ryan posted he was on his way, telling his sick fan to “stay strong”.
Two hours later, Ryan arrived and posed for a photo with her.

“Thanks to everyone for making this special moment happen,” Murphy posted.
“Beau Ryan you are a true legend man. Can’t thank you enough for this moment.”
Murphy went on to say “the energy she gained from his presence was amazing! Beau Ryan is a legend. After 4 hours notice he made it!!!”
