Police are investigating shocking online photos which appear to show a young child from South Australia being given a device used to smoke illicit drugs.
The photos, believed to be screenshots from a Snapchat message, were posted online late last night.
A woman in the photos appears to hold a bong up to the face of the child.
It is not clear when the photos were taken or what substance is inside the bong.
There has been an outpouring of anger on social media since the images were uploaded.
Police have confirmed they have received multiple reports about the photos and are investigating their origin.
The woman is understood to have been removed from her home after police intervened earlier this year.
