A man in his 30s has been flown to hospital after his foot was pierced by a stingray on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.
Paramedics were called to Point King jetty near Portsea just after 10am to reports the man, who was wading in the water at the time, had been stung.
It’s believed the stingray was up to 1.5 metres in length.
He was supported by paramedics to the air ambulance before being flown to the Alfred Hospital, where he is currently in a stable condition.
