A Tasmanian driver has been left questioning how a chicken was even crossing a suburban road after being rear-ended by a motorist who failed to brake in time.
The unusual prang happened after three motorists were forced to slow to a halt to let the poultry pedestrian safely cross in front of them.
But sadly, the third driver failed to brake and instead was left with a crumpled bonnet after slamming into the back of a ute.
The accident, which occurred at approximately 11am on Christmas Day, was filmed from the ute driver's perspective and uploaded to the Dash Cam Owners Australia Facebook page last night.
"Are you f---ing joking?" Isaac, the ute driver, is heard saying.
Luckily for Isaac, his car escaped the crash with minor damage. It was a different story for the blue hatchback that crashed into him.
The chicken escaped unharmed and was seen scurrying into a nearby front yard after the collision.
