A spider has been filmed trapping and killing a small snake in a backyard in Kurrajong Heights, west of Sydney.
Video posted by social media user Sabrina Besselsen shows the baby red-belly black snake writhing in a spider web attached to a chair.
The reptile becomes increasingly tangled in the web, as a red-back spider creeps toward it.
Suddenly, the spider appears to bite its prey on the head, causing the snake to wiggle furiously before the video ends.
Ms Besselsen posted to Facebook on Wednesday that the snake had died, and that she was “officially moving to another country” after the incident.
