Six men have been arrested in connection to an alleged plan to use an ex-Japanese whaling vessel to import more than $60 million worth of cocaine.
Victorian and Australian Federal police arrested the men in Melbourne and Queensland today, after the 50m boat was intercepted off Tasmania last month.
Police allegedly found 186kg of cocaine on board the boat.

The Victorian Joint Organised Crime Taskforce (JOCTF) announced the results of the major multi-agency operation this afternoon.
"We see this is a fantastic outcome in terms of reducing the harm that these drugs do in the community," one spokesman said.
