The carnage caused by a drunk driver as she veers across the road and smashes into an incoming car has been captured on dashcam footage.
The shocking video was believed to have been filmed in June in New Zealand but was posted on Monday on YouTube and has attracted more than 52,000 views.
Footage begins with a woman driving down a road during the early evening as the sun sets on the horizon.
Suddenly out of the murky light a car, which did not appear to have its lights on, swerves from the other side of the road.
The video appears to show its driver lying across her seat as if reaching for something.
The car crashes into a bollard, crosses the road and heads towards the dashcam, whose driver is heard to swear moments before impact.
The driver and passenger of the under-control car then check if each other are all right before they rush to the driver of the incoming car who cries for help.
It is believed the drunk driver spent a week recovering in intensive care after the accident.
