Firefighters have contained a truck fire near a petrol bowser in West Melbourne, which sent plumes of black smoke into the air.
Around a dozen Metropolitan Fire Brigade officers from three crews were called to the location about 7am.
Local resident Lisa MacNaughton said she saw workers running from the site and black smoke pouring from the building behind them.
The fire has since been brought under control, MFB advised.
