A desperate thief has been caught on CCTV stuffing a Fender guitar down his pants and walking calmly from a Texas music store.
Officers in Fort Worth said the January 18 robbery was “not something we see or hear about every day” after posting the video on their social media accounts on Monday.
The man can be seen admiring the instrument before quickly shoving it down his pants and placing his baggy vest over the top.
Officer Tamara Valle told ABC-affiliate WFAA the whole scenario was “kind of hard to believe”.
“I mean, who can stuff an entire guitar down their jacket and make it out of the store?” she said.
The Tobacco-coloured Sunburst Fender Guitar, valued at more than US$1700 (A$2243), is still missing and police are searching for the brazen offender.
