A fox hunting master and local politician in Britain told an animal rights activist "I'd quite like to shag you" while she shouted him down about his lethal pastime.

Charles Carter, 33, a councillor for the centre-right Conservative Party and keen fox hunter, was filmed asking Linda Hoggard, 41, "can I take you to bed please?"

He made the remarks on Monday after being challenged by hunt protesters over the chase of a fox during a hunt meet in North Yorkshire, reports The Yorkshire Post.

Footage showed the woman confronted Carter while he was on horseback, dressed in a red hunting jacket and helmet.

Hoggard tells him: "Hunting is banned so why are you still hunting? You still get away with it don't you, you lot?"

A smirking Carter reaches into his trouser pocket and takes out his mobile phone, prompting the irate woman to retort: "What, you want to take a picture of me?"

He asks: "What's your name?" and she replies: "I couldn't give a s--t. It doesn't matter what my name is. I'm not bothered."

Carter then says calmly: "I'd quite like to shag you, actually."

A shocked Hoggard replies that she will tell her husband, only for the huntsman to persist.

"Can I take you to bed please?" he asks the furious animal lover.

Carter then rides off without answering her question about the pursuit of a fox.
