A truckload of animal waste on the West Gate Freeway continues to cause major delays as peak hour traffic sets in.
The offal spill happened on the West Gate Freeway at the Burnley Tunnel, in Melbourne’s CBD about 1.30pm.
Decomposing animal flesh was strewn along six car lengths, causing the closure of two inbound lanes.
All lanes of the freeway are now open on approach to the Burnley Tunnel, according to VicRoads.

Delays are expected to remain very heavy.
