US president Donald Trump’s introduction of a new office to serve victims of crimes committed by immigrants has been met by rumbles of disapproval.
Mr Trump told a joint sitting of Congress during his first address the office would be called "VOICE", or “Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement.”

There were audible groans and sounds of surprise from the floor when Mr Trump revealed the name of the new office.
Several social media users, including actor Mia Farrow, also took to Twitter to post their opinion on the new office.

Mr Trump said the US must support law enforcement and support the victims of crime.
He said the new office would provide a voice to people ignored by the media and "silenced by special interests".
The president said he invited four Americans to attend the speech whose families were affected by crimes committed by immigrants in the US illegally.
