A hungry US man filmed eating pancakes in the middle of a Florida street has insisted it was just a harmless prank as he prepares for his day in court.
Kiaron Thomas, 21, pulled up a table and chair and in the middle of a pedestrian crossing in Lakeland on Tuesday and dug into a stack of pancakes as frustrated drivers tried to get to work.
The 21-year-old and enjoyed his breakfast as commuters began to pile up around him.
When police arrived at the intersection Thomas was gone but they managed to track him down after someone tagged him in a photo on Facebook.
Thomas was arrested and charged with obstructing the flow of traffic despite insisting his jovial actions were just a prank.
Thomas will appear in court on April 25.
