A nine-year-old boy and a man have died and a baby girl is fighting for life after a crash near the Queensland town of Gympie.
Their car was travelling north on the Bruce Highway through Gunalda when it crashed with a southbound truck about 11.20am today, police said.
The car's driver, a 45-year-old man, and his nine-year-old male passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
A one-year-old girl who was also a passenger in the car was airlifted to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
The Bruce Highway has been closed in both directions, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
