A father-of-two is fighting for life after he was struck by a car while crossing the road in a hit-and-run crash in Melbourne overnight.
The 37-year-old man, who lives nearby, was found injured on Anderson Road in Albion, in the city’s west, around 11.10pm.
It’s understood he was hit by a vehicle driving northbound.
The driver did not stop to offer assistance.
The injured man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Debris left at the scene has left detectives to believe the vehicle that struck him was a Toyota Camry sedan.
They added that the car will bear visible signs of damage as a result.
