The Brisbane carer of three stolen koalas joeys has pleaded with their thief to return them home safely.
The 14-month-olds were taken from an Ormiston address between 9pm on Thursday and 6am on Friday.
Wildlife carer Samantha Longman told 9NEWS she felt “physically sick” when she discovered the cages of the animals were empty.
“I think my heart stopped. I felt sick, just devastated,” Ms Longman, who has cared for rescue koalas for 14 years, said.
She said the health of Pacal, Fynn and Spencer was her greatest concern, with all three joeys needing to be fed regularly with supplements.
“They need to be returned for their own health and wellbeing. So to survive, they need to come back.”
Ms Longman is currently in the process of moving, and said two large groups of people had gone through her property on Thursday.
“It’s the only thing out of the ordinary that’s ever happened here.”
Cages have been left outside of Ms Longman’s home to give the thief a chance return the joeys anonymously.
Queensland Police continue to investigate.
