Bunnings has issued an urgent recall for an oil heater amid fears the device could rupture.
The company said it has had several reports from customers that hot oil has sprayed out of the heater which could potentially lead to burns.
“Affected heaters have ‘Batch Code 12/16’ and ‘OLN 9532’ or OLN 9539 and were sold through Bunnings nationally in 2017,” it said in a statement.
“Other batches of this model (MC35B2) are not affected by the recall.”
Customers are being urged to stop using the heater immediately if they have one and return in to the store for a full refund.
