One person has been stabbed to death at the University of Texas and up to three other people are injured.
The victim died of their wounds and a suspect has since been arrested over two stabbings and an assault, campus police said just after 2pm Monday local time (5am today AEDT).
The stabbing happened near a gym at the university's Austin campus, police confirmed.

"There is no ongoing threat to the campus community," campus police tweeted.
Three other people have been taken to hospital with possibly serious injuries, the Associated Press has reported.
