A surfer who was swept 20km out to sea off the coast of Scotland has been found alive, clinging to his surf board after 32 hours in the water.
Helicopter crew from the coastguard discovered Matthew Bryce on Monday drifting towards Northern Ireland, UK broadsheetThe Telegraph reports.
Mr Bryce, 22, had been missing since Sunday morning when he had gone for a surf on Machrihanish beach, near Campbeltown in Scotland.
He was found conscious and suffering from hypothermia.

His rescuer's said the young surfer survived the more than 24-hour ordeal because he was wearing a wetsuit and using his board to keep his body out of the cold water as much as possible.
"We had been searching for about five hours at that point, we'd come back … to take on more fuel," Search and Rescue Commander Andy Pilliner told The Telegraph about locating Mr Bryce.
"From where we looked it looked perhaps like a buoy… and then literally that moment when you go 'oh, it is actually a surfboard and there's someone on it waving', it's just a great feeling.
"I've been doing this a long time and its large search areas, and actually finding someone alive after that period of time is very unusual."
Mr Bryce was taken to Belfast Hospital for treatment.
