A cab driver has been struck in the face by a teenage girl during a violent attack at a taxi rank in Brisbane.
Mobile phone footage obtained by 9NEWS showed the 16-year-old girl arguing with the driver at the Roma Street rank about 4am yesterday.
The girl and two other teens had allegedly demanded the driver take them to Zillmere - a $50 fare - for free.
When the driver refused, the 16-year-old allegedly slammed the taxi’s passenger door before striking the driver in the face.
She was then shown circling the driver and taunting him as he tried to film the ordeal.
“Who you calling ---- mother ----,” the girl can be heard yelling.
“(I’ll) smash your camera too.”
When the driver threatened to call police, the offender slapped him in the face. The shocked driver then slapped her back.
The girl then got in the taxi and drove it to Albert Street, crashing into a parked car and abandoning it before running off.
Police are continuing to search for the young girl.
