A "gorgeous" two-year-old girl has been found dead in a home in Miller, in Sydney's south-west.
Police were called to the home just after midday today after receiving reports of concern for the child's welfare.
The girl was found dead inside the home, NSW Police said in a statement.
"The little girl was gorgeous ... little dark curly hair, she was just gorgeous," Shannon Francisco, whose in-laws live across the road, told reporters at the scene.
He said he had never seen any trouble at the home.
"That's why it's a big surprise for me," he said.
"I'm blown away...it's just crazy."
A post mortem examination will be needed to determine how the girl died.
A crime scene has been established and police are investigating.
