A hijacking alert that prompted police to surround a Saudi Airlines plane at Manila airport was a "false alarm", an airline spokesman has confirmed.
Flight SV872 was placed in an isolation area on the tarmac at Ninoy Aquino International Airport after a control tower relayed a threat to authorities, CNN Philippines reports.
There was a "false alarm for hijack for Flight 872," the airline said in a statement and on Twitter.
