A four-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after falling down an escalator and landing head first onto another at a shopping centre on the Gold Coast.
It is believed the boy fell five metres from one escalator and landed head first on another at Robina Town Centre just before 2.30pm.
He survived the fall with only minor injuries to his forehead and torso.
"This little boy is so lucky," Queensland Ambulance Service critical care paramedic Jaye Newton said
"He has fallen from a significant height, but it just appears the way he's landed he's been able to prevent any serious injuries," Mr Newton added.
The boy was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital and remains in a stable condition.
