While damaging winds continue to ravage South Australia, at least one furry marsupial seems unperturbed.

Twitter user Tricia DeBeaux filmed a koala perched on a tree branch in Adelaide Hills yesterday at the height of the extreme storm.

While the trees leaves shook wildly in the wind, the koala appeared to be comfortably balanced on the branch.

A second koala was filmed hanging on for life in video posted to 9NEWS Adelaide reporter Edward Godfrey’s Twitter.

The clip was captured by Godfrey’s cousin in Stonyfell, and showed the koala holding onto a tree tightly as its branches almost snapped under the sheer force of the wind.

Thousands are still without power after a state-wide blackout yesterday, with consumers in the state’s north and on the Eyre Peninsula the last to have power restored.

Another 100,000 consumers lost supply again today, coupled with more than 300 calls for help to the State Emergency Service.

Emergency authorities have warned the severe weather will continue to lash the state for at least today with more damaging winds and heavy rain.
