Jasmine the chubby Labrador has won a competition to star in a new film alongside Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce.
‘Flammable Children’ is set in a sleepy, beachside suburb in the 1970s and will be shot on the Gold Coast from early October.
The casting director was on the hunt for an overweight Labrador but had struggled to find the perfect roley-poley pup, prompting the 102.9 Hot Tomato breakfast team to launch a competition.
Four Labradors competed for the role this morning but nine-year-old Jasmine stole the show.
“I’m very excited, she used to be a show dog back in her day. Now she’s retired and lives on the couch,” Jasmine’s owner, Debbie Creagh told 9NEWS.
