As the Republican candidate leaned in to plant a kiss on the cheek of his youngest daughter, the 22-year-old turned her head and recoiled laughing. Instead, she offered her dad a pat on the arm.
The post-debate moment in front of cameras captured the attention of the millions who watched the heated and at times nasty debate.
It took an unexpected turn at the end when one questioner from the audience asked the candidates to name one positive thing about their rival.
The highly-anticipated debate also covered Trump's controversial remarks about sexually assaulting women in a recently published video, Bill Clinton's alleged history of being a sexual predator, Clinton's deletion of thousands of emails and Trump's taxes and proposed Muslim immigration ban.
