Three men have been found dead after their car rolled down an embankment on remote private property in Gundy, in NSW’s Hunter Valley region.

Emergency services were called about 5pm, but it is believed the crash could have occurred some hours earlier.

Police were told the car containing the three men and young boy was travelling to the property off Waverley Road in Gundy this morning, and concerns were raised when they failed to return this afternoon.

The car was found by a neighbour, and had appeared to have rolled down an embankment.

The three men were thrown from the car, and were found dead at the scene.

The five-year-old boy was found nearby suffering a broken arm.

He was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash, and will resume examination of the scene on Tuesday.
