A man is facing multiple charges over the Ravenshoe café gas explosion which killed two people and injured 17 others in Queensland's north last June.
The explosion occurred after an out-of-control ute smashed through the wall of the Serves You Right cafe and ignited a gas bottle.
Cafe manager Nicole Nyholt, 37, and Margaret Clark, 82, later died in hospital from their injuries.
Police today said they had charged the 61-year-old driver of the ute with multiple charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.
