Three children had to be rescued in Adelaide after they got trapped while playing in a waterway.
“We should be focusing on our efforts on actually helping the community to mitigate those storms and get trees down off roofs and not having to rescue people who are playing or driving through flood waters,” Trevor Arnold from Victoria SES said.
The storm cell is now making its way across Victoria where a severe weather warning has been issued.
Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected to hit the state.
