Man suffers burns in Sydney house fire

A man has suffered burns after fire tore through a home in Castle Hill, in Sydney’s north-west.

Emergency services were called to the residence on Rondelay Drive about 1.15pm after reports of a fire.

A man has been taken to hospital suffering burns and smoke inhalation.

A crew of 20 firefighters continue to work to control the flames.

“There is significant structural damage to the property,” a spokesman from Fire and Rescue NSW told 9NEWS.com.au.

Neighbouring homes are not in danger from the fire, the spokesman confirmed.

It’s believed the blaze may have been sparked in a carpark underneath the property.
