Six men are being treated at Westmead Hospital after they were possibly exposed to a hazardous substance while working on an oil refinery in Clyde this afternoon.
Westmead Hospital spokesperson confirmed to 9news.com.au six male patients presented themselves at the hospital's emergency department just after 4pm today.
Fire crews established a decontamination zone in the hospital’s ambulance bay to help treat the men.
All patients are in a stable condition, the hospital said.
The hospital spokesman said it will not affect other patients presenting at the hospital by ambulance.
There is no risk to other patients, staff or visitors at the hospital.
