An 18-year-old man has been seriously injured after a suspected assault in the restroom of a McDonald’s outlet south-east of Melbourne.
Police believe the Inverloch teen went to the toilet at the outlet on the South Gippsland Highway in Leongatha about 2.10am today.
His friend later found him unconscious in the cubicle.
The injured man was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition with facial and head injuries.
He remains there in a serious but stable condition.
Police investigations continue.
